Gran Slam Spoken Word Poetry for Seniors

Spoken word poetry is like a fusion of poetry and theatre which is increasing in popularity. Spoken word poetry is also sometimes called SLAM poetry and in Aust we have Gran Slam a spoken word project for Seniors. In 2020 performers were up to 90 years old. This segment features a Gran Slam 2020 production by the NSW team – to smash the labels and stereotypes of aging.

 

Gran Slam is a collaboration between Feros Care and performance producer Everybody NOW, an organisation that shares our commitment to smashing stereotypes and supporting communities to live bolder lives.
