Laraine Dunn also called the 70 yr old pocket rocket. She is Director of Well Dunn and works as a speaker, author and fitness instructor. Laraine was the recipient of Australian Fitness Network’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Her areas of expertise include aquatic exercise, healthy ageing, falls prevention, lifestyle, personal and professional development. She is also an accredited sports coach and massage therapist.
Laraine has also been awarded Australian Fitness Professional of the Year and was a mentor with the NSW Women in Business program. Laraine has a massive list of accomplishments. In her 50s she went back to Uni and did a Masters of Applied Science, researching exercise and the over 60s and a Masters in exercise & aging.
Laraine has a Newcastle based Fitness Consultancy and Gentle Exercise Business that provides a wide range of health services. .
She has been a lecturer, author and accredited assessment provider for several national and state bodies, including Australian Institute of Fitness NSW, Queensland Fitlink Training College, VICFit, Fitness NT, Fitness WA, Fitness ACT, H2OZ and Queensland KeepFit Association, NSW Department of sport and Recreation, Hunter New England Area Health and Northern Sydney central Coast Area Health. Laraine has served on the Committee of Management of Nutrition Australia, NSW Fitness Professional Council, National Association of Gentle Exercise, and is Past President of Hunter Business Women's Network.
